Google Forms have lately been everywhere. Whether you want to fill up a warranty form for a product you purchased, make an order from a new place, or participate in a poll, you might land on a Google Form page to submit your responses. In fact, some organizations also use Google Forms as part of their hiring process! Instead of going through a CV, they consider it better to know their potential employees by the answers they give. And Google Forms make this Q&A procedure as smooth as butter.
Due to the ease with which people can create a form and share it with anyone, Google Forms are becoming more and more popular. Due to their widespread use, they are also becoming more important. As such, chances are high that you fill up an important form and want to come back to it later.
But is it possible to access a Google Form you previously responded to? If yes, can you see all the Google Forms you have ever filled?
In the following sections, we’ll answer all of these questions and tell you more about Google Forms and how they work. So, let’s tell you whether and how you can see a Google Form you responded to.
How to See All Google Forms You Responded
The structure of all Google Forms is roughly the same. You see the form’s title at the top, followed by a description that usually contains details or instructions you need to know before filling out the form.
Then, you see the Gmail address of the account you are currently logged into. After submitting the answers to all the questions, you can submit the form at the end.
But you already know all of this, right?
Here is the important part. Before clicking on the Submit button, you might see one of two things.
Case 1
You might see a slider that says, “Send me a copy of my responses.” You can enable this option before clicking on Submit to get a copy of the form– with your responses– in your email inbox. The email’s subject will be the title of the form.
If you don’t enable this option, you won’t get any copy of the form. Therefore, you won’t be able to see your responses.
Case 2
In the second case, you will not see any slider but a text that says, “A copy of your responses will be emailed to the address you provided.” In this case, your responses are sent to your email address by default. You don’t have to choose whether or not to receive the copy.
In this case, you can see your responses without doing anything.
There’s a third possibility as well!
If you have filled out a lot of Google Forms, you will likely have come across the two cases discussed above. But you would also have seen a form that doesn’t have any of the two things.
Yes, on some Google Forms, you’ll neither see an option to get a copy nor the message. In this case, you cannot get any copy of your responses delivered to your inbox. In other words, you won’t be able to see your responses anywhere. Your responses will be lost forever and be visible only to the form creator.
What about all the other forms you have responded to in the past?
You might be thinking that we haven’t answered your question yet. But in reality, what we just discussed was all there is to know.
If you fill out a Google Form, you will probably get an option to get a copy of your responses in your email inbox. Or better even, you will get the copy without choosing any option.
But if you are expecting to find a method or a hidden section somewhere in your Google Account containing a list of all the forms you have ever responded to, you are fighting a losing battle. There is absolutely no way to do that.
Google doesn’t provide any history of forms you have filled. However weird or unexpected it might seem, it is the truth. However, it is not the worst part yet!
What’s worse than the absence of a Google Form history is the fact that you don’t have control over getting a copy of your responses.
The three cases we described above are chosen at the sole discretion of the form creator. The form creator chooses whether to send copies to all the responders, provide an option to the responders, or not provide any copy at all. And that is a shame.
Can you edit your responses after submitting a Google Form?
Again, the answer to this question also depends on the form creator. If the form creator lets responders edit the form after submission, you’ll see the option right after submitting the form and also in the email of the response if you receive it.
To edit a form just after clicking on the Submit button, click on the Edit your response button on the next page. Make the changes and submit the form again.
Or you can also edit the form by clicking on the Edit Response button on the response copy you receive in your email inbox. Tap on this button to go to the form again. Enter the responses and submit the form again.

Google Forms are becoming increasingly popular nowadays due to their simplicity and availability. And due to this popularity, they are being used for some unexpectedly important things as well.
If you want to see all the Google Forms you have ever responded to, there’s bad news as that is not possible. However, you can get a copy of your responses for a form if the form creator has made it possible. Unfortunately, the decision to send a copy of your responses lies with the form creator, and we can do little about it.
