The PlayStation is a blessing to all gamers out there. It revolutionized the way people play games, reducing the hassle of going to game centers and spending a chunk of money for fun that barely lasted a few hours.
With the PlayStation, users can play different games whenever they want. We have so many sources of entertainment these days that we rarely get bored. As much as it’s fun, many users often wonder about their account history.
That’s why in today’s blog, we are set to discover how you can check when a PSN account was created. We will also discover how to check the region or country your account is linked to and how you can add a new username.
So, let’s dive into the process if you’re ready.
How to Check When PSN Account Was Created?
If you have been using the PlayStation system for a while, you might wonder how to check when a PSN account was created. Even though PlayStation does not provide a direct way to find this information, we got a shortcut to access this detail.
The steps below only apply if you have not changed your account ID. If you have changed your username before, this method might not pan out as expected.
As PlayStation does not yet provide us with the account creation date, we will use your username to predict when you created your PlayStation account. In general, you would have set your username for the first time while creating your account. So, the date mentioned in the username details can hint you about when an account was created.
Step 1: Set up your PlayStation and launch your account.
Alternatively, you can perform this process on the official PlayStation website. Just use your account credentials to log in from the web browser.
Step 2: Now, take a look at the top right corner of the screen. There, you can find your profile icon. Tap on it.
Step 3: You can see different options. There, you need to choose a profile option. This will take you to the profile page.
Step 4: On your profile page, you can find the Edit Profile option on the left side of your screen; tap on it. It is usually denoted by the pencil icon.
Step 5: You can find the Online ID option in the Edit Profile tab. You need to tap on it.
You will be asked to read through a list of possible outcomes that could happen when you change your username.
Step 6: Now tap on the continue option, located at the bottom of your screen in the Important Information tab.
Step 7: As a next step, you are asked to enter your email and password, which is connected to your PlayStation network account. So, please do as instructed.
Alternatively, you can use the PlayStation app installed on your mobile device to log in to your account for verification.
Step 8: Choose OK once you enter your account credentials.
Step 9: You will be redirected to the Change Online ID option. There you can see, “You’ve been playing as “a username” since “date.”
That date indicates that you have been using the PlayStation account since a specific date. As said earlier, this date will only be relevant to the account creation date if you have not changed your username before.
Now that you can access the date, you can simply return to the dashboard without changing your username.
How to check the Country/ Region of a PSN account?
Similar to the above question, in case you are wondering how to check the Country/Region of your PSN account, we’ve got you covered. Here is a step-by-step instruction to help you with that.

Step 2: Now, you can find a list of menus on the left side of the screen. Scroll until you reach the end of the menu. There, you can find the Payment Methods. Select the option by using the X button on your joystick.
Step 3: After that, you can see two options, namely, Add a PayPal account and Add Credit/Debit card. There, you need to select the second option, I.e., add credit/debit card.
You need to remember that you can only add a maximum of 3 card details.
Step 4: Now, enter the details as requested. Usually, you will be prompted to provide your name, card number, expiry date, and security code.
Once done, press the next option located at the bottom of the screen.
Step 5: Next, you will be taken to the billing address tab. If you take a look at the last choice, you can find the country or region option. There, you can know which country your PlayStation account is linked to.
In case you want to create a new user account on PlayStation, here is how you can do it.
Step 1: Launch your PlayStation.
Step 2: Open the quick menu tab on your screen. You will see a list of options where you can find power options. Choose it using the X button on your joystick.
Step 3: Now, you’ll see a few other options on your screen. There you can see the Switch User option; tap on it.
Step 4: You can use all the accounts you have been using on your PlayStation. There you will find the new user option denoted by the plus symbol. Select the option.
Step 5: Now, you will see the Create a User option. You need to choose that.
Step 6: Next, you will be presented with some terms and conditions. You have to accept to proceed forward. Read through the instructions and hit the accept option.
Step 7: Next, you will be asked to enter your PlayStation credentials. Instead of using the old account details, enter the Create an Account option.
Step 8: Then, you need to enter your country, language, and state to proceed forward. Next, you must provide your email ID to verify your email.
Step 9: After that, you will be asked to choose your avatar. Once the necessary details are provided, you need to enter your Online ID, First Name, and Last name to continue creating your account.
All the other details are subjective and intuitive. Go through the list of options you are presented with at every tab. Once you finish all that, you can enter it into your PlayStation account. Remember, you must verify your email ID before using the PlayStation account.
