Does Pinterest Notify You When Someone Looks at Your Profile: Can you believe that forty years ago, smartphones didn’t exist? There was no way for people to angrily call your friend from the hall, asking them why they’re always so late. No way to call and ask your mom how much salt that recipe needs or to ask your brother where he kept your book.
The rapid development of smartphones has brought about one of the most drastic changes in human life. The unbelievable part is we don’t even realize the extent to which it has affected our life, for better or worse. Awareness is the first step to proper understanding and control, right?
Smartphones were created to make our work easier and less time-taking so that we could focus on more development and spend lesser time on research. However, we’ve done the stark opposite of that: we focused more on smartphones, almost too much.
Be that as it may, this is how it is now. One of the ways to not let smartphones corrupt your life is to use them in moderation. In moderation, even social media and games can have their initially-intended good effects on your brain.
In today’s blog, we’ll talk about whether or not you can see who viewed your Pinterest profile. Stick with us until the end of this blog to learn all about it!
Can You See Who Views Your Pinterest Profile?
Pinterest is one of the most aesthetic social media platforms. Not only the content but the overall app design itself provides a unique experience. The platform is strict with its users’ privacy and doesn’t take any risks with it.
Unfortunately, you can’t see who views your Pinterest profile. There’s no option or feature on Pinterest that can help you see who has seen your Pinterest profile. However, you can monitor other users’ activity on your profile. For example, if they like, share, or comment on any of your pins, you’ll be notified.
However, if you have a Business account on Pinterest, you’ll still learn a lot about your current audience in the form of demographics. This includes the average age of the users who visit your profile, their rough location, and the devices most used to access your profile.
There’s much more that you can learn about your audience if you own a Business account.
How to create a secret board on Pinterest
Step 1: Launch Pinterest on your smartphone and log in to your account.
Step 2: The first screen you’ll land on is your Pinterest Home screen. At the bottom, you’ll see five icons. Tap on the icon at the bottom right corner, which is a thumbnail of your profile picture.
Step 3: This will bring you to your profile. Under the Created and Saved tab, you’ll see a search bar. To its right, you’ll see a plus (+) icon. Tap on it.
Step 4: A pop-up menu with three options: Idea Pin, Pin, and Board. Tap on the third option.
Step 5: On the next page, you’ll see an option called Keep this board secret with a toggle button next to it. By default, it is turned off. Turn it on, and you’re good to go.
If you want to turn a previously public page secret, here’s how you can do that.
Follow steps 1 and 2 from the last section.
Step 3: Long-press the board you wish to make secret. Four icons will appear. Tap on the pencil icon, which is the Edit Board option.
Step 4: Under Settings, turn on the toggle button for Keep this board secret, and your work here is done.
In the end
As we end this blog, let’s recap all we’ve discussed today.
Pinterest is one of the most aesthetically pleasing media platforms on the internet. It’s basically a search engine; you can search for anything you’d like. Creating a presence on Pinterest is highly beneficial for your business or future prospects.
While it would be helpful to see who has seen your Pinterest profile, it is an invasion of privacy, so you can’t do that. Instead, Pinterest offers tools you can access if you have a business account to determine the average age and location of the users visiting your profile.
If you want to create a secret board, we can help you with that, too. Follow our step-by-step guide for an easier process.
