Facebook is among the largest social media platforms worldwide and is the most populous social media platform ever! With more than three billion monthly active users, it’s safe to say that people just can’t get enough of it. While this was true for a while, it looks like Gen Z is going a different way. While most Gen Z started their internet journey on Facebook, they quickly grew bored of the same old stuff. When Instagram came around, it was more of a last straw than something that attracted users excessively, at least initially.
Today, people love Instagram, and they love niched-down platforms even more. For example, for those who only like communicating with their friends and family, WhatsApp and Snapchat are a much better fit. These platforms are highly efficient and entertaining, respectively.
Twitter is for those who are much better at processing bite-sized pieces of information, be it humorous or factual. If you’d rather indulge in witty inside jokes, then Tumblr can make you happier than Facebook ever would. As far as personal growth and professional networking are concerned, LinkedIn is always there to take care of that.
Are you a strong believer in “content is king?” Well, then, you must sign up on Medium to learn all about the new monarch. Learning a language is difficult, and we understand why you wouldn’t want to do a three-year university course. Don’t worry; just download Duolingo and become passably fluent in German!
So, as you can see, the possibilities are endless. From dating to marriage and everything in between, you’ll find one app eager to have you. And the main thing is all these apps are much newer and better-suited for this generation’s consumers.
Still, even after a world of competitors, nothing comes close to the household name Facebook. Not in terms of users, popularity, or even convenience. If Mark Zuckerberg had an endpoint he wanted to take Facebook to, we’re sure it was surpassed many years ago.
Today’s blog will discuss if it’s possible for you to find someone’s first post on Facebook.
How to Find Someone’s First Post on Facebook?
Let us tell you right away that there’s no trick or hack that lets you immediately find a user’s first Facebook post. The only way to do so is by going to their profile and scrolling until their first page, old school style.
But even then, it doesn’t mean anything because it’s probable that they’ve deleted that post. Think about it: do you still have your first post up? We aren’t saying that you can’t find that photo, but it’s going to be a lot of work for something that might not exist anymore.
We don’t mean to scare you. If they’re relatively new to the platform or don’t have many friends, you won’t have to look too much. But if they’re Millennials, it’s quite probable that you’ll have to scroll through years and years of pure cringe content.
But if you still think you want to see it, let us make the process a bit easier by mapping the steps out for you.
How to find someone’s first post on Facebook? (on PC/laptop)
Step 1: Open Facebook on your preferred internet browser.
Step 2: At the top left, right next to the Facebook icon, you’ll see a search icon. Tap on it and enter the name of the user whose first post you wish to find.
Step 3: Now tap on their profile from the search results that appear.
Step 4: That’s the easy part. Now start scrolling, and keep on doing so until you reach their first post. Depending on their activity on the platform and the time they’ve been using it, you can anticipate a lot of scrolling.
Alternatively, you can just talk to them about it. If you have a crush on them, this is quite an interesting and nostalgic ice-breaker. They’ll reminisce about the good ol’ times, share some fond memories, and unconsciously bond with you.
In turn, you can also do the same! It’s a not-so-obvious to learn more about them without having to snoop around and waste precious time you could spend with them.
At the end
Before wrapping it all up, let us quickly recap this blog.
There are only two ways to go when you wish to find someone’s first Facebook post: look for it on their profile or ask them directly.
The former is the option you should go for if they’ve recently joined the platform and don’t have many friends. Here, by recently, we mean in the last five years. Anything before that will annoy you, and there’s a good chance you might not find it, as they could’ve deleted it.
The latter is only good if they’ve been using the platform for a long, long time. It’s a great conversation starter on dates and even parties. Like “who here is ready to relive the cringiest moments of their lives?” It might be embarrassing, but otherwise, where’s the fun, right?
